這首歌的旋律想必很多人都很熟悉，
陳小春也翻唱過，歌名是"我要新生活"，
不過我聽到陳小春翻唱版本的時候覺得這根本就是惡夢，
把一首如此經典的歌搞成這樣，實在令人搖頭。
這是Wild Cherry(狂野櫻桃，這樣翻起來好像怪怪的 哈哈)的成名曲
， Wild Cheery似乎是裝感冒藥盒子上的字，
當時主唱Rob Parissi感冒住院的時候，團員們來探望他，
順道問起了樂團的名字還沒取， Rob順手指了盒子上的字說:"用這個好了"，
沒想到團員們都很喜歡 但是聽說Rob本人則是很討厭這個名字，
他非常後悔 (所以取名字還是要三思阿)
而這首歌原本Rob Parissi在廁所跟他的團員們討論
(這時候的Wild Cherry已經是第二代團員了)
要玩Rock-n-Roll還是玩Disco時，
鼓手跟他說:每次在club或是disco裡面的客人都會說:
"You gotta play the funky music, white boy"
於是靈感就來了， 這首歌就這樣誕生了。
1976年，Wild Cherry首次發行同名專輯Wild Cherry，
他們獲得了Billboard年度最佳流行樂團，
同時還得到了兩座葛萊美獎--最佳新聲團體與最佳R&B ，
也在其他國家得到非常好的銷售成績。
我很愛這首歌，俏皮中帶著詼諧的流暢，
讓人忍不住想跟著節奏搖頭的節奏旋律，
歌詞也很有趣 ：
